TO BUILD A MODERN COMMUNITY FACILITY

  • The hall is popular and demand is rising but..

  • It is deteriorating internally and externally

  • Its stage facilities need modernised.

  • We need a better kitchen, upgraded small hall and toilets.

  • And greater storage space is required for a wider range of activities and groups.

    THE HALL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE HAS PRODUCED A SOUND
    DESIGN FOR THE REDEVELOPED HALL BY:-

  • Consulting widely with the local community on what it wanted in the Hall and how it should be redesigned.

  • Researching among hall users, local tradesmen, and others with specialist knowledge.

  • Investigating how other halls were redeveloped.

  • Working closely with architects and others involved in the redesign.

    • IT HAS RAISED FUNDS:-

  • £14,000 local fundraising - to date

    • AND THESE GRANT OFFERS

  • £226,268 from the Big Lottery Fund against very strong competition

  • £50,000 from Aberdeenshire Council

  • £20,000 from other charities

    • BUT
    These offers depend on raising the remaining £75,000




    SO THE HALL COMMITTEE IS MAKING
    A PUBLIC APPEAL FOR £45,000

    INDIVIDUALS, GROUPS, BUSINESSES CAN ALL HELP

    1. Make a donation:- large and small contributions all help.
    2. Sponsor a brick for £50 - we will put your name on a roll of honour in the new hall if you donate £50 or more.
    3. Contributions in kind - Businesses in particular may be able to contribute building or other materials
    4. Organise or sponsor a fundraising event.
